High Performing Athlete Program, Hollycrest
The High Performing Athlete Program at Hollycrest began in the fall of 2002 and has experienced steady growth in enrollment ever since.
Goal of the High Performing Athlete Program
- The High Performing Athlete Program is designed to support athletes with an accommodated school day to help facilitate their training needs in order to promote balance in their academic and athletic commitments.
The Program Will Provide
- An academic program based on the Ontario Curriculum
Program Structure
- Students will be placed into a grade appropriate class either in the morning or the afternoon depending on their training schedule.
Current Program
- There are currently 235 students enrolled in the High Performing Athlete Program at Hollycrest who train in a variety of sports such as gymnastics, figure skating, swimming, synchronized swimming, tennis, hockey, soccer, baseball, wrestling, archery, golf, and dance.
Transportation
- Transportation to and from Hollycrest MS and the student-athlete’s training facility is the responsibility of parents/guardians
