Kensington is located in the heart of downtown Toronto, serving students from Junior Kindergarten up to grade 6. We are a school that strives to meet the needs of our diverse learning community. We have four (4) special programs for students with Autism. Kensington Kids Daycare is onsite, offering care to infants through to grade 1 children. St. Alban's Boys and Girls Club offers after school care for students in grade 1 and up.
We have a strong academic program with committed staff who work hard to meet the varied needs of our students. Our teachers use technology at all grade levels, but also provide time for hands-on exploration, social skills learning, and creative play. Our school have central air conditioning, single classrooms as well as open concept - flexible pod classrooms for collaboration, a swimming pool and all students can enjoy swimming during the week. We have a large gym, a well-stocked library, a roof top outdoor learning, activity and events space with a 10 foot fence, a Pollinator Garden, Greenhouse and other Ecoschools initiatves, and a big outdoor play area that embraces Outdoor Play as Learning (OPAL). We recognize the importance of the arts and try as much as possible to integrate the arts into our learning activities.
