Welcome to Maryvale Public School. Our school has approximately 235 students from Full Day Kindergarten through Grade 8. Our staff includes more than 30 dedicated teachers and support staff. We have three self-contained special education classes and house a YMCA daycare with which we work in partnership to provide a seamless day.

We strongly believe that each child has their own individual strengths and characteristics and our task is to provide each child with the kind of programs and services that meet their needs. Our teaching and support staff work together to provide the best possible programming based on the provincial curriculum and the learning strengths of each student as well as, the principles of Universal Design for Learning. Our goal is to ensure that each child is able to achieve to their potential within a safe and caring learning environment.

We believe in the importance of life balance and encourage staff and students to be active community members with involvement in academics, clubs, music, arts and leadership. A crucial element to achieving these goals is our strong partnership with parents through ongoing communication and cooperation. Parents are students' first teachers and a very important part of their success. Parents are encouraged to provide their voice by joining our School Council, made up of parents, staff and community members.
