Principal's Message

From the Principal

Welcome to North Bridlewood!

North Bridlewood Jr. P.S. was built in 1966 and was one of the first open-concept schools.  Located in a diverse, multicultural community, there are approximately 210 students currently attending North Bridlewood.

Our school offers programming for students from junior kindergarten through to grade 6.  There are many exciting learning opportunities for our students, as well as a number of co-curricular activities such as; soccer, cross country, gardening club, football and Eco-Club, just to name a few.  At North Bridlewood we believe that providing our students with a variety of learning experiences is the most effective way for students to gain new understanding and personal growth.   Our motto “Free to Soar” serves many purposes at North Bridlewood.   Our students are encouraged to be unique, open-minded and to take risks.  It is through risk-taking that our students learn their strengths and share their expertise so that learning is mutual and respected.

The teachers at North Bridlewood work tirelessly to create a safe, nurturing environment for ALL students, so that all our students are successful and achieve to their greatest potential.  A focus on fair and equitable education is what drives the teaching philosophy at North Bridlewood.  We strive to provide students with learning opportunities that challenge them and help them to see their potential as future active participants in our society.

At North Bridlewood, we work as a team and support each other and our students.  We encourage parents to become involved in their child’s learning and to partner with us, so that home and school are seamless.

We look forward to another exciting and successful year ahead!

Sincerely,

M.Berger
