O’Connor is both a school and a vibrant community hub.

We welcome approximately 250 students, from JK to grade 5, from dozens of different language groups. Our students follow either a French immersion or an English program, and their days are full of active learning, STEM challenges, collaborative tasks, outdoor lessons, leadership opportunities, digital literacy, artistic activities, with a plethora of intramural sports included in the menu of their daily programming. Clubs include our Nature Club, Homework Club, Chess Club, PALS, and Student Voice Crew. We also provide ESL and resource support to those students in need. Our teachers focus on teaching from a lens of anti-oppression, ensuring that all children can see themselves in their learning, and that joy and engagement are the targets in our goals to close achievement and well-being gaps for our students.

Our school also houses an Early ON centre welcoming parents/caregivers with pre-schoolers for drop-in days, as well as a childcare centre, and an Extended Day Program (EDP) run by our TDSB ECEs.  The O’Connor building certainly hums with all the daily activity!
