Hello All!

What a fun couple of weeks with Halloween and the Jump Rope For Heart Kick Off Assembly.  Thank you for collecting donations for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.  The date of the Jump Event is November 26th.

Congratulations and thank you for your generosity toward both our Food Drive and Textile Drive.  We collected over a TON of Textiles and received a cheque in appreciation for $266.00 to add to our school funds.  We will have to wait to see how we did in regards to the Water Refill Station competition.  Fingers crossed!

Also for your calendars a few noteworthy happenings in the upcoming weeks.

- Reports come home on Tuesday, November 13th.

- Parent Teacher Interviews will be held on November 15th, after school/evening and in the morning on November 16th.  November 16th is a PA Day, there are no classes for students.

OUR ANNUAL BOOK FAIR will be held beginning November 15th for about a week in the library, (while supplies last).  Please look for a letter to come this week with Book Fair times.  The Book Fair will be open during Parent/Teacher Interviews.

- Parent Council Meeting #2, November 26th, 7:00 pm in the library.  Joining us will be Trustee Jerry Chadwick, one of his last stops on his Farewell Tour!

We are having a Textile Drive! That's right . . . time to donate those old rags, ripped clothes and curtains - even those stuffy stuffies!  Items will be collected at the school by our Eco Team beginning October 22nd through November 2nd!  Let's get recycling Poplar Road!

October is Responsibility Month

Life is full of choices. Being responsible means being in charge of our choices and our lives.
Responsibility requires us to recognize that what we do and what we don’t do matters,
and that we are responsible for the consequences of our choices.
