Literacy
To continue with our school wide guided reading block and literacy black; to implement the Ministry Expected Practices around Literacy, to use Literacy as a vehicle to introduce inclusive education though culturally relevant and responsive texts.
Numeracy
To implement a school wide long range plan; use various new and innovative math resources to improve math engagement and focus on financial literacy and STEM.
Pathways
We use My Blue Print and partnerships with feeder schools to ensure successful transitions for grade 8 to 9.
Community, Culture & Caring
Student safety is our priority. We have a Safety Program, in partnership with Toronto Police Service and Parking Enforcement Officers. Staff and student volunteers assist students getting out of their cars every morning and escort young students to their entry doors.
We also support our larger community through food drives and fundraising efforts.
