Students can arrive at school when supervision begins. Upon hearing the entry bell, students should assemble in their assigned lines. Parents are encouraged to allow their child/children to enter school on their own to help build independence. If your child/children are arriving late, have them sign in at the front office.
Please make sure to have students prepared with all their items for the day (and the weather) as it is very disruptive to the office and class to be calling students down during instructional times. We do our best but can not promise to get items to the students on time.
The Toronto District School Board uses SchoolMessenger as its automated call-out system for our Elementary Safe Arrival Program.
Parent/Guardians may call School Messenger directly 1-833-250-2290, (between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.) to report their child(ren)’s absence for the current day or a future date. If you are to picking up a student during the day please email the teacher in the morning or send a note with your child so that we are aware ahead of time.
If Parent/Guardians do not report their child(ren)’s absence(s) prior to the start of school, they will be contacted by SchoolMessenger and must indicate the reason for the absence. The telephone number 833-250-2290 will display on the caller ID. When you receive the call, you are required to listen to the entire message and follow the prompts accordingly.
