What makes Sprucecourt standout?
Community Food Garden
Green Thumbs Growing Kids partner with students, teachers, lunchroom staff and Lead2Peace to include food gardening into the curriculum.
The Sprucecourt Peace Garden initiative began in 2009 by Lead2Peace, a Regent Park youth organization. Funded by Community Service Partnerships at the City of Toronto, Green Thumbs installed four new raised beds, a compost program and container gardening.
Library
At Weekly Book Exchange, students engage in book talks, share stories, learn research and tech skills, and make curriculum connections while promoting multicultural celebrations and reinforcing TDSB Character Traits.
Visit the LIBRARY WEBSITE today! Each student receives a bookmark with passwords–if it was misplaced, please see our librarian, Ms. Ferreira.
