Lunch Program

LUNCH PROGRAM

Thomas L. Wells Public School offers a supervised lunch program for those students who do not have adequate supervision at home during the lunch hour. Participation in our School's Lunch Program requires that students follow the rules of the program and that an information form is filled out.

We are an environmentally friendly school and encourage all of our children to pack a litter-less lunch. By using containers that can be re-used and sent home for cleaning we minimize the amount of our daily garbage. We are working hard at maintaining a clean school environment. Students are expected to demonstrate respect for others and their property.

We highly encourage students eat healthy, balanced lunches, promoting overall well being. Research shows that students who eat healthy regular meals achieve academically, suffer less from mental and physical illnesses and have a happier disposition. Allowing older children to decide what they will eat and encouraging them to make their own healthy lunches, will create lifelong good eating habits. Please note that Thomas L. Wells is a nut-safe school.  Please do not send an food containing nuts, or peanuts to school.
