Welcome to the Guidance and Career Services Department

The York Memorial CI Guidance and Career Services Department offers a wide range of services for all students Grade 9 -12. The following services are provided:

  • Educational and career counseling

  • Individual assistance and short-term counselling, referral to community agencies as needed

  • Course selection assistance and diploma progress planning

  • Post- secondary planning (College, University, Apprenticeship and Workplace destinations)

  • Interest and personality tests

  • Information sessions and workshops

  • Grade 10 Career Studies course

  • Scholarships and financing your post-secondary education resources

  • USA schools and SAT information

  • Study abroad information

  • Job counselling and resume assistance

  • Help with connecting with tutors

  • Transcripts of academic history

  • Information on volunteer opportunities

  • Help with concerns about your grades, study skills, etc.

  • Help setting student educational goals
