YMCI Students Receive Awards from John Tory

City of Toronto Mayor John Tory and Helen Berhane, Chair of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants Canada, held an awards ceremony for the participants and coaches of the 2018 Mayor's School Cricket Tournament and the launch of the 2019 tournament.

At the Central Technical School Soccer Dome, more than 200 cricket players from the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) and the Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) joined Mayor Tory. Distinguished guests received awards for their excellence in cricket and community coaches  received Mayor's recognition awards.

  • Dwight Drummond, news anchor/co-host with CBC News Toronto, and thel MC for the event.
     

The 2019 tournament will be held at Sunnybrook Park and G. Ross Lord Park from May 15 to 31.

Kudos to Mr. Ram and the Girl’s Outdoor Cricket Team for placing second in last year’s western regional finals.
