Sponsored Book Fair - Free Books for All Students
We’re thrilled to announce that N.M.P.P.S has been selected for a very special Scholastic Book Fair, thanks to a generous sponsorship from Spin Master! On Tuesday, June 10th, each student will have the opportunity to choose two brand-new books – completely free! If your child is absent that day, they'll still have a chance to pick their books on Wednesday, June 11th.

Ripley's Aquarium - Ms. Yerakarakos and Ms. Palmer’s class
Our trip to Ripley's Aquarium was an exciting and educational experience. We saw many interesting sea animals, including friendly stingrays, a graceful sea turtle, massive sharks, and unique rockfish. One of the most fascinating things we learned was how important an animal’s skin is to its survival in its habitat. The aquarium gave us a closer look at how sea creatures adapt to their environments, making the visit both fun and informative.
Morning Bins in Rm 140 - Ms. Yerakarakos
Rm 140 begins the day with Morning Bins to help get focused and start the learning day with a "minds-on" perspective!
We have a rotation of 5 bins containing various materials used in a week. Each contains a task card with steps students read and follow for completion. Tasks can be math, language or stem based. Students write and draw about their completed task using a “Morning Bin Task sheet”. A labelled diagram with a sentence to describe their finished product is the modelled expectation.
Welcome to Kindergarten!
The first day of kindergarten is an exciting time, but it can also be a little nerve-wracking for kids and parents alike.
To help ease families into the transition, the Ministry of Education has prepared some wonderful new story and activity books. These are fun, engaging tools to help children get familiar with what to expect and build excitement for the big day.
