Kindergarten Registration 2018 - 19

How to Register

Registration for all TDSB Kindergarten programs begins in February.
We look forward to welcoming you and your child! You may choose to register in person (Student Registration Form) or by using our new online registration system .

Children who will be four by December 31, 2018, can start Junior Kindergarten in September 2018.

Please note:

  • Only parents or legal guardians can register a child for TDSB programs.

 

In Person Registration

Step 1

  • Find your local school. If Oriole Park is your local school you are in the right place!

Step 2

  • Contact your us 416-393-9215 to make an appointment to drop off your forms and supporting documents. Registration slots are 15 minute windows from 10:00 - 11:30 AM and 1:30 - 3:00 PM each day from Monday, February 12 to Thursday, February 15. This is not the general information session. That information session is our "Welcome to Kindergarten," which is scheduled for Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 5:00 - 6:00 PM. Please take in the following:

 

  • Student Registration Form
  • Developmental History Form
  • Immunization Information Form
  • Early Years Experiences Collection at Kindergarten Registration (EYE@K) Questionnaire
  • Proof of age (birth certificate, Canadian passport, Canadian Citizenship card or certificate or baptismal record)
  • Proof of address, including any two of the following current documents: lease or deed, car registration, utility bill, residential telephone bill, moving bill, property tax bill, health card, bank statement, credit card statement, or correspondence from a government agency.
  • Proof of Parent(s) (government issued ID for both parents. If only one parent has custody, a copy of the court order needs to submitted as well.)
  • Proof of immunization (the card that shows a list of needles your child has received)
  • Verification of date of arrival, if your child was not born in Canada. Families who are permanent residents and refugee claimants may register directly at the school. Children without immigration status are welcome in our schools and information about them or their families will not be shared with immigration authorities. To register, please visit the International Programs and Admissions Office at 5050 Yonge Street, on the main floor, for a TDSB school admission letter.

Online Registration

Step 1

  • Access the Online Registration System to create an account, find your local school and complete a registration form.
  • Need help? View the Online Registration System Video Tutorial for more information.
  • Please note: Once you have completed the online portion of the registration process, you will receive a confirmation e-mail, including information about next steps (e.g. when to visit the school). Please be sure to check your Inbox and Junk Mail folder to avoid missing the e-mail.
