 A Message For Parents/Guardians

West Humber JMS is looking forward to another successful year with continuing support from all parents, guardians, caregivers, students, and staff. Please see some important information below to get you started.


Entering & Exiting the Building

All visitors, parents, guardians must check in at the main office.

11:30-12:20 - LUNCH TIME - To ensure optimal student safety, students are to remain on school premises unless providing written permission to their homeroom teacher and main office.


  • Students eat lunch in the classrooms until 11:50 am and then proceed outdoors or participate in teacher led clubs/teams.

 

Entry supervision begins at 8:30 am

School AM Entry Warning Bell: 8:43 am Students are expected to line up at their designated entry doors 

School Entry Bell: 8:45 am -Students will be received by their teachers and will enter the building. 


 

Dismissal Times Students will need to leave the school promptly after dismissal. All students (Grades 1-8) are dismissed at 3:05 pm 


Class & School Set-Up

Lunch Time

Lunch will be eaten in the classroom. Please provide your child with a nutritious, litterless lunch with the necessary cutlery. All garbage will be taken home daily with the student. Please also provide your child with a water bottle.

If you need to drop off your child’s lunch, please label the lunch clearly with your child’ name and class and drop it off at the table at the front foyer of the school.

If a child is going home for lunch they must re-enter the school at 12:20pm through the front door. 

If you need to pick up your child, we ask that you kindly call the office to make arrangements 416-394-7760.
