R.U.S.H - Roadmap to University Success with Honours

The RUSH program at York Memorial Collegiate is widely respected in our community and beyond for its academic excellence. The RUSH program was created  as the school’s pre-AP program, with the specific goal of providing a rigorous foundation for students who plan to enroll in AP courses and apply to the finest universities in Canada, the United States, and abroad.

Our program offers students a strong foundation in the arts, humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences. The teachers in the RUSH program offer varied teaching strategies and many opportunities for enriched learning. Our program wants students to develop a lifelong love of learning and a deep curiosity about the world.

The expectations of the RUSH program go beyond the merely academic. Our program expects RUSH students to be leaders in the school and in the community. It seeks opportunities for students to engage in civic life and to develop personal and social responsibility. The RUSH program expects its students to be addressing the issues of social justice, the environment, and technological change in our world. RUSH students should graduate to continued participation in the life of their community and their country as a matter of personal growth.

We look forward to seeing you in our RUSH program.
