Parent Council

The Parent Council, also known as the School Advisory Council (S.A.C.), is a group of interested parents, teachers, and community members who meets regularly throughout the school year to give advice to the principal about many things. This wonderful council started in October, 2003, and it has been giving great advice to our school ever since. Types of advice include ideas about fundraising, special activity days for students, and school safety. They learn about how board policies affect their children, how they can support their children at home, and how they can make S.A.M. an even better place to learn. Updated information regarding the Parent Council can be found in the section "Parent Council" here.

Every school in Ontario must have a School Advisory Council. In the council, there must be a principal, vice principal; at least one staff member, one community member; and as many parents who want to be a part of it. All S.A.C.'s in Ontario must meet at least four times a year.

Updated information regarding the Parent Council can be found in the section "Parent Council" here.
