The School Council

The School Council functions in an advisory capacity to help administration and staff deliver a top level education program. The Education Act, mandates the Council to be comprised of the Principal, representatives from the parents, teachers, non-teaching staff, community and child care reps. A majority of the positions on the Council must be held by parents. Elections are held in the Fall (if required) to determine the Parent Reps for each school year.

Regular School Council meetings are held each month at 6pm on alternating Wednesday and Thursday evenings at the school. All parents from the Blake Street Public School community are encouraged and welcome to attend. Child care is provided during these meetings.
