All students at Elkhorn Public School are expected to:

- Behave appropriately during all school activities both in and out of school.
- Use acceptable language.
- Arrive for school and all classes punctually.
- Observe and follow school and classroom routines.
- Act and play safely.
- Solve problems through discussion.
In order to maintain behaviour consistent with our code, the following Consequences for Inappropriate Behaviour may be taken:
- loss of privileges
- telephone contact with parent
- discussion with principal
- performance of community service
- parent/teacher conference
- supervised temporary withdrawal from class
- detention
- repayment of loss
- suspension from school
