Successful citizens of the future will need to be highly proficient in the use of technology.  We are beginning that journey now by teaching our students (JK-5) basic coding.  Coding requires a disciplined and logical mindset.  Activities as simple as moving a character on a grid or creating an animated comic on the program "Scratch" will help students develop critical and logical thinking skills that can be broadly applied.
