School Council

School Advisory Council (Parent Council)

The Inglewood School Advisory Council or Parent Council (as it is often called) is made up of Inglewood parents who advise the Principal on ways to improve our school in order to benefit all of our students. The next SAC meeting will be held soon - watch this space for details.  All are welcome!

The School Advisory Council is an excellent way for parents to get involved in their child`s education. Our school has an elected school council that is an important forum for involving all members of the school community in issues that affect the education of students. The school council is made up of an elected committee of parents, staff, appointed community members, the Principal, and a general membership which includes all parents of the children attending the school. The school council advises the Principal on a variety of issues and activities related to student achievement, curriculum goals and priorities, school budget priorities, school safety, renovation plans, after school activities, as well as criteria for selection of new Principals. Parents

We know that parents want the best education for their children. At Inglewood, our goal is to provide your children with a safe, caring and positive learning environment, and with a variety of programs and services that promote outstanding student achievement.

Parents are children's first and life-long teachers. We value the partnership between home and school. We know that parental involvement is the key to success in school. You can be involved by helping your child with homework, volunteering in our school, or joining our School Advisory Council. By welcoming you and providing opportunities for you to be involved, we can work together to ensure that our students receive the very best education.

Our parents even have a dedicated website providing information on how to get involved in the Parent Council.
