j.r. wilcox community school was established in 1920 and is located on the corner of atlas avenue and ava road. we are a kindergarten to grade 8 school that serves approximately 375 students, including a diagnostic kindergarten and primary/junior autism intensive support programs.  

we prioritize identity affirming, supportive learning environments that have high expectations of all learners. partnering with families and staff is a key component to building safe and inclusive learning environments that enable all students to thrive. we aim to provide all students with a well-rounded education that enables them to reach their full potential, while preparing them to become responsible global citizens by honouring and building upon past achievements.
