J.R. Wilcox Community School was established in 1920 and is located on the corner of Atlas Avenue and Ava Road. We are a Kindergarten to Grade 8 school that serves approximately 375 students, including 2 Diagnostic Kindergarten Intensive Support Programs.  

We prioritize identity affirming, supportive learning environments that have high expectations of all learners. Partnering with families and staff is a key component to building safe and inclusive learning environments that enable all students to thrive. We aim to provide all students with a well-rounded education that enables them to reach their full potential, while preparing them to become responsible global citizens by honouring and building upon past achievements.
