On January 28th, 2026, Mason Road had its very FIRST Spelling Bee. Students in Grades 1-6, who signed up through the Spelling Bee Club, competed against their peers of the same age. Each student was given a word to spell, helping them advance in a round for each correctly spelled word. Each grade had one declared winner, who Mason Road JPS will be paying for to enter the Spelling Bee of Canada. The students who are representing Mason Road will compete against other students in a qualifier. The winners of each qualifier will advance to the National Canada Spelling Bee. Thank you to all 65 students who participated in the Mason Road Spelling Bee, and a special congratulations to our SIX winners who will be representing Mason Road.
