Principal's Message

Dear Military Trail students and families,

As we embark on the upcoming school year, we do so keeping health and safety at the forefront.  Our students and community as a whole have had to encounter a variety of obstacles and challenges  within these past eighteen months. However, this will not deter our mission towards making this school year a success. I plan on working with parents, teachers, students and the entire Military Trail community to ensure that our students are safe and achieving at their highest potential.

I am committed to fostering relationships, serving our students who have been underserved, learning and unlearning histories of residential schooling and settler/colonialism as we address Truth and Reconciliation and systemic racism and oppression.

We will continue to keep the pillars of equity, achievement, and well-being as our commitment for all students through culturally authentic learning experiences, where all are included, every voice heard and every experience is honoured.

Together we will continue to provide experiences that are rigorous, relevant and with relationships based on trust to prepare our students for their future endeavors.

I believe in open and frequent communication and value every stakeholder’s opinion. I welcome opportunities for dialogue, please feel free to contact me.

It is through working together that we will succeed in bringing the best educational opportunities to your child.

I look forward to all that we can accomplish in the 2021-2022 school year.

In Partnership,

Cheryl Boi-Doku
