About Us

Orde Street Public School (GR. JK-08)

Where Inquiring Minds Come to Grow
Orde Street PS is situated in central Toronto, northeast of Chinatown, and just west of hospital row, in one of Toronto’s most interesting downtown neighbourhoods. Built in 1914 to accommodate the influx of immigrants into the community, Orde Street PS continues to represent the diverse population of the global community that is Toronto, housing students from over 30 countries, representing many different languages and cultures. We strive to be a place where all voices are heard and valued, and where students and families feel safe, respected, and welcomed. As a multilingual multicultural school, we value our diversity, celebrate our connections, and learn from each other about the world we all live.  All worlds meet at Orde Street.
