Good evening Parkdale Families,

As you are aware, we are all waiting to find out about next week and the potential for schools to be closed. HOpefully the weekend’s bargaining will lead to an agreement and school will be as usual on Monday. Please stay tuned to the news and refer to the TDSB’s website for up to date information.

This week Parkdale sent our Cross Country team to Ashbridges Bay for the area meet. Although the weather was wet and cold, Parkdale students did a great job participating and keeping warm! Thanks to parents and staff for making this happen.

Parkdale Roof Project

Next week, Triump Roofing will be back to continue the work of replacing the roof. As a result there will be some disruption to our school. The north west doors, by the Community Centre will be closed for students to enter and exit the building. In addition, when workers are removing the roof above specific classrooms, we will be moving that classroom for one day to prevent the noise above. Students and teachers will be notified a day in advance of these moves. The project still has about 50 work days to completion, so we will be managing this for the rest of the autumn.
