Hello and welcome!  
This website page is here to help you learn more about who we are, what we do, and to show you how you can get involved in your child’s education while at Pleasant. 

About the Council 
Pleasant School Council works cooperatively with the parents, community, students, staff and administration to provide an enriched and positive learning environment for the students. 

School council is an excellent way to be “in-touch” with the school happenings and the community. Every parent has a voice and is automatically a member of the council. Being an active member opens many opportunities for enrichment of our kids.

Our Mandate:
With generous support of our volunteers, we are dedicated to enriching students’ experiences through many programs and events we organize throughout the school year. We also advise school administration on issues related to student achievement and well-being. Click here for more information about school councils.

Our Meetings 
We meet 6 times a year in September, October, January, February, April, and June at 6:30 PM virtually. All parents and guardians of Pleasant students are welcome and encouraged to attend Council meetings.


Showing Your Support 

Parent council wants to thank all Pleasant families for their generosity with our dance-a-thon fundraiser. Our goal was to raise $2000, but in total we were able to raise an incredible $3793.65 to go towards technology in our school. Congratulations to Ms. Shahin’s kindergarten class for raising the most money per student! We also had three raffle prize winners, picked at random from all our amazing fundraisers, with a top prize of a Family Movie Night Out, and Gift Cards to Indigo Book Store for our second and third prize winners. 

We will be bringing back smoothie sales in May and June (Friday May 3rd and Tuesday June 4th). Pizza lunches are also back and will be on Friday April 26th, Friday May 31st, and Friday June 21st. Please check your school cash online account to pay online, or return the paper form that was sent home with your student by Monday, April 24th. Thanks to your support we have been able to bring in programs, supplies, and equipment to support learning in our school, all while bringing fun to Pleasant Students! Our next parent council meeting will be held in May (date to come) if you’d like to be involved.
