How to Find Your Child’s Teacher and Classroom for 2019-2020

On Friday, August 30th, 2019 after 3pm you will find class lists posted on the front door (Exit #1) outlining student first name and last initial, classroom teacher, room number and door number to enter the school.

PLAYGROUND CONSTRUCTION AND ACCESS TO RAWLINSON

We are in our final stages of construction on the junior playground.  There are about 2 weeks worth of work left (weather permitting) which means that access to the playground will be temporarily restricted due to construction fencing.  The below figure (2)  indicates access from Oakwood through Charles Breton Park to our junior playground. This access is to be used by students who will enter/exit door 2 (northwest part of school) as there IS NOT access to the primary playground.  Kindergarten, primary and intermediate students (those students entering doors 3, 4, 5A, 6 & 7) will need to access the playground and their entry/exit doors from Earnscliffe Ave. (south part of the school)  PLEASE CHECK THE DOOR NUMBER FOR YOUR CHILD(REN) ON THE CLASS LISTS POSTED

SUPERVISION

Grade 1 to Grade 8 students will be supervised by designated staff starting at 8:30 am to 8:42 a.m.  We ask that you do not leave your children unattended in the school yard before 8:30 a.m.

All students who take the bus will be greeted by an adult upon their arrival at school which should be at approximately 8:30 am.  Students will be escorted toward the back of the school where teachers and

support staff  will assist them in locating their teachers.  Please note that staff will be wearing an orange vest in order that parents and students can easily identify them.

FDK Children

All JK and SK children enter school at 8:42 am.  Teachers and ECE (if applicable) will greet your child outside the Kindergarten Entry door.  Please ensure that your child comes prepared with a change of clothes, and a lunch and snack your child can open independently.  Please do not bring nut products to school.  If your FDK child is bussed, the ECE will greet them upon their arrival at approximately 8:30 a.m. at the front door #1.
