Early French Immersion (JK Entry, September 2024)

In the Toronto District School Board, the entry point to Early French Immersion is at the beginning of Junior Kindergarten. The next cohort of Early French Immersion starts in September 2024.

If your child is starting Junior Kindergarten in September 2024 and you want them enrolled in the Early French Immersion program, you have to apply during this year. It is an entirely online process. For the most up-to-date information and details, please visit the TDSB’s French Programs website.

The online application process opens on November 6 and the deadline for applications is December 1, 2023.  An offer of placement in the program (not a specific school) is guaranteed to all on-time applicants. Families with an older sibling currently in an Early French Immersion program are still required to complete an online application for the new student.
