The TDSB’s Safe Arrival Program uses an automated system that calls and/or emails parents about absences as soon as our classroom attendance is completed, which is 9:30 am for the morning and 1:15 pm for the afternoon.  The system continues to call/email until it reaches a parent or guardian.  

If your child is going to be absent for any reason, you can let our attendance program know by calling the Safe Arrival number for our school.  The number is 1-833-250-2290 and you can press 3 after you hear the welcome message. 

If you are calling from a number different than we have on file, you may be prompted to enter a phone number associated with your school information (e.g., the cell number we have on file in our school records). You will be prompted to report an absence for your child at Rockford and/or for any other child you have in a TDSB school.

If you are having any difficulty with the Safe Arrival number, please call our office staff, Ms. Fera or Ms. Urrutia at (416) 395-2820 during school hours or email pat.fera@tdsb.on.ca and sandra.urrutia@tdsb.on.ca to report the absence for your child.  (Please be sure to copy both.) You can also feel free to copy me and Ms. Irving.
