Duane Gibson aka D.O. is a two-time Guinness World Record-setting rapper and University graduate that has been inspiring hundreds of thousands of youth since 2001. He has performed Worldwide in places including Taiwan, Japan, England, France, Las Vegas, and Miami. Gibson has freestyled with Snoop Dogg, the Raptors play his music at their games, and Drake even appeared in one of them. D.O. is here to tell us ways to Stay Driven and to let us know that “Can’t Nobody Hold Me Down.”

 

Pink Shirt Day or Anti-Bullying Day on February 22nd: 

Pink Shirt Day or Anti-Bullying Day is observed in Canada and in other parts of the world. This is a day to stand up against the injustice of harassment and bullying. Pink Shirt Day is a reminder to all Taylor Creek students to be inclusive, welcoming, and supportive of others.

 

RED DRESS DAY: May 5 is the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls and Two-Spirit People. 

Every year on May 5, we mark Red Dress Day and the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and Two-Spirit People (MMIWG2S). Flags will be lowered at all TDSB administrative sites to mark this day.
