Green Team (Eco-Schools) 

Valleyfield gives opportunities to students to join the Green Team. This 2024-2025 school year has seen more than 30 students join the team. Did you know that Valleyfield has done numerous actions to earn the title to be called a platinum school? Valleyfield’s Eco Team has done many activities to help the earth and educate our community. We have participated in many activities such as: 

• the Great Gulp
• National Sweater Day
• Lights Out Lunch challenge 
• Battery collection for proper recycling 
• Making bird feeders  
• Dried marker collection for proper recycling 
• G.O.O.S paper bins in every classroom 
• Composting correctly and compost collection….and more! 

Not only did the Green Team participate in these events, but all of the Valleyfield community have done their part in

these activities. 

We are a proud PLATINUM ECO SCHOOL!
