REGISTRATION FOR FRENCH IMMERSION:

Early French Immersion entry is in Junior Kindergarten for students born in 2022.

Registration: Closed

The entry point to the TDSB’s Early French Immersion is Junior Kindergarten. Families interested in applying must complete an online application. For September 2026 entry, applications must be submitted online between November 3 and 28, 2025, through PowerSchool Enrolment.

More information, including the link to apply, is available on the Early French Immersion Application webpage. All eligible applicants who apply on time are guaranteed a placement in the program; however, placement in a specific school cannot be guaranteed. While every effort is made to place students in their designated area French Immersion school, some students may be redirected to another school with available program space.

Please note:

An application must be submitted for each child, including twins/triplets/multiples. There will be an opportunity on the application to indicate if there is a sibling at the same school in the same French Immersion program (not in a graduating year).

Offers of placement will begin in January and be ongoing in the weeks and months following. Please check your email regularly, including junk mail and spam folders, and follow all instructions. You must take action to reserve a seat by the deadline.

While every effort will be made to seat students in the school identified as their area French Immersion school, this is not always possible. In cases where the number of applications in a given area is greater than the number of allotted program spaces in the school, students may be redirected to schools with available program space.

Placements are made based on the child's primary home address of record in PowerSchool prior to the application deadline. If the address changes between the application deadline and the fall of the entry year, there is no guarantee of admission in the new area.

Late applicants will be held on a waitlist and considered subject to available space until the end of September of the entry year (i.e., Junior Kindergarten). There are no waitlists in non-entry years.
