Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome to Willow Park! We hope and trust that your time spent with us will be memorable. We believe in supporting the needs of the whole child.  We have a strong focus on literacy and numeracy skills through an equity and anti-oppression lens, as well as restorative practices and developing global competencies to prepare students for their future roles in society.  We focus on respecting ourselves and others and treating people they way we would like to be treated; making the world a better place by ensuring that we make positive contributions to society.

Once we are able to, we look forward to being able to offer a variety of extra-curricular activities for students to support their interests and develop their skills in a variety of areas including the arts, athletics and leadership.  We are pleased to offer a full nutrition program that includes options for breakfast, lunch, morning and midday snacks.  We also support our families through an on-site EarlyON centre and pediatric clinic. Yes, Willow Park is a very busy and exciting community to be a part of!

We believe that student success relies heavily on a child’s first teacher: the parent.  As the African proverb goes, "It takes a village to raise a child". Our goal is to continue to foster a relationship between home, school and community to promote the best student outcomes.

We look forward to working with you to prepare your child for their future!

Sincerely,

Sherron Grant                                                  Paul Charles
