Overview of what's happening in the Duke Music program this year! Music at Duke We are excited about all of the Musical experiences that are available to Duke’s students this year. These opportunities will include:
New this Year! Ensemble Nouveaux
This ensemble will be a mash-up of styles, genres and instruments! Incorporating a wide range of instruments, voices and movement into each performance.
This ensemble will start on Monday October 2. Keep your ears open for more information!
The first song we will be working on is Better Way by Ben Harper. Take a listen to the piece and think about how you would like to arrange it. Think about, voices, instruments and movment. Bring your ideas to the next rehearsal!

Duke’s Senior Choir
(open to students in Grades 6,7, and 8) – Tuesdays at Lunch in Room 203. First rehearsal is Tuesday September 12th at 11:25 in Room 203
Duke’s Junior Choir
(open to students in Grades 4 and 5) – Tuesdays at Lunch in Room 204. First rehearsal is Tuesday September 12th at 11:25 in Room 204

Duke's Primary Choir
(open to Students in Grades 2 and 3) - Thursdays at Lunch in Room 203. First rehearsal is Thursday September 14th at 11:25 in Room 203
Duke's Grade One Choir
(Open to students in Grade 1) - Rehearsals will start in January
Taking place on TUESDAYS after school - beginning September 26th for students in Grades 6, 7, and 8.
For special events and assemblies the whole school learns songs to sing together. Here is the song the whole school performed for Remembrance Day this year.
Nda Mkwendang is a song composed by Ken Kirkwood in collaboration with students from the First Nations School here in Toronto.
