Fairglen Junior Public School was first opened in 1965, and at that time received an award for its practical design. The school serves about 340 students in Kindergarten to Grade 6, from an economically- and socially-diverse, multicultural community. Located next door to a high school and a senior public school, students at Fairglen experience a unique educational setting, as their entire educational career can occur in one neighbourhood.
