Each year, we hold fundraising events to raise money to benefit our students. Raising money for books, activities such as Scientist in the School, field trips, music and dramatic performances, sports equipment, art supplies and new technology in the classroom.
A major goal of SAC is to financially support the school in areas that are not covered by government funding. In the past few years Park Lawn families have raised and donated more than $20,000 annually to support music, drama, library and literacy, sports and arts programs, and enrichment in the classrooms. Virtually every area of the school has benefited from fund raising dollars and is dependant upon this type of parent support.
The work of the Fundraising Committee extends far beyond the four walls of our school. By demonstrating to our children that Park Lawn School is part of a larger community, the ever popular annual Park Lawn Palooza contributes to the vibrancy of our community .
The Fund raising Committee strives to provide a range of fundraising opportunities for families to consider. Families are not however, expected to support all the fundraising initiatives at Park Lawn.
Park Lawn also supports fundraisers that give back to the wider community such as the WE, Jump Rope for Heart and the Terry Fox Run in September.
