SCC FUNDRAISERS- Action items

The SCC’s donations support and subsidize the costs of a number of initiatives that benefit our students. Without parent donations, the school’s small budget cannot support many of these activities (field trips, dramatic performances, on-site dance sessions, reading and math online e-books, and apps) just to name a few. Please consider donating to the SCC. In the next few days the SCC will provide details regarding the specific amounts that will be donated to various school initiatives. See the flyer below. Thank you for your support.

The SCC will be sending out an email to families letting them know what specifically their fundraising dollars will support at our school.

THE “ASK” -Donations as of January 12 are $4.000 (according to Ms. Finucan’s online accounting report)

This is the single largest annual fundraiser from the council. Tax receipts are available. Please see attached flyer. Thank you for supporting St. George's JS.THE ASK.pdf

You may order weekly, monthly, or for the school year. If you are ordering week by week you must order by noon the Sunday before. Lunch will be delivered on Friday, January 27, 2023

INTERESTED IN VOLUNTEERING? FYI

We are happy to welcome volunteers back to our school. Volunteer Process and Clearance Checks

We are looking for volunteers to support our kindergarten classes at lunch time. The cold weather is quickly upon us and we can always use extra hands to zip up coats and help with snow pants etc. During outdoor play time, students learn a number of social skills: negotiating space, choosing friends to play various games, and learning to listen to the ideas of peers. Sometimes are young students need additional support to make safe choices and to carefully navigate how to appropriately respond to friends. If you are available to support us at lunch time 12:15pm-12:45pm and have been cleared to volunteer, please let Ms. Finucan know and we can connect you with our Kindergarten staff to arrange lunchtime support. Thank you!
