Good morning,
As my first year at Alvin Curling PS ends, I want to thank you for the exceptionally warm welcome I received. Stepping into a new school can be daunting, but your kindness and enthusiasm quickly made Alvin Curling feel like home. It has been an absolute privilege to lead and grow alongside such a vibrant community.
Looking back, we shared so many incredible moments. Three highlights stand out as true testaments to our school spirit: the joy and connection at the Primary Games Night; the meaningful discussions during our Wellbeing Evening focused on anti-racism, bullying prevention, and social media; and the incredible energy of bringing everyone together for the Fun Fair.
I also want to extend our gratitude to the parents who organized the wonderful staff appreciation brunch today. Your thoughtfulness and generosity meant the world to our staff, making us feel valued and celebrated as we wrapped up the school year.
Thank you as well to the members of our School Council. Your support, advocacy, and dedication have been invaluable to me during my first year. Whether organizing events or volunteering your time, you consistently go above and beyond to ensure our students thrive. We are incredibly fortunate to have you as partners.
Looking ahead to the 2026 - 2027 school year, please check your inbox on Friday, September 4 for an email from me with your child's class and teacher assignment. Our first day of school will be Tuesday, September 8. Please join us that morning for coffee and tea to catch up and welcome our students back to school. Also, our Welcome Back BBQ and Meet the Families eveing will take place on Thursday, September 24.
