Parents/Guardians

Parent/Guardian Involvement Is Important!

According to the Ministry of Education, "Student achievement improves when parents play an active role in their children's education, and that good schools become even better schools when parents are involved. It is recognized that parent engagement is a key factor in the enhancement of student achievement and well-being. Students are more likely to be motivated, to earn higher grades, to have better behaviour and social skills, and to continue their education to a higher level when their parents are actively engaged in supporting their success at school."

How can I get involved?

It's never too late to get involved, and new members are always welcome. Check this website and the monthly newsletter for upcoming meeting dates. Childcare and a light dinner are always provided. Bring a fellow parent/guardian with you! If you can't come to a meeting, then contact us for other ways you can get involved and stay informed.

Your participation is important to make Alvin Curling the best it can be! The best schools have strong parent/guardian involvement.
