Announcements
The National Anthem will be played at 8:55 a.m. After the Anthem, the Land Acknowledgement will be read. Announcements will be read at 10:15 a.m.
Cafeteria
Eating and drinking must be done in the cafeteria or outside the building. Make use of recycling bins to dispose of recyclables.
Excursions
All students are expected to participate in planned class excursions.
An excursion form must be signed by a parent/guardian for students under the age of 18 and returned to the school by the date or time specified by the teacher.
Fragrances & Scented Products
To protect individuals withsensitivities to fragrance, avoid using scented products at school.
Lost and Found
Please bring any misplaced or lost items found on school property to the office. If you lose or have any item stolen, please report this to the office immediately. Please do not bring valuables to school.
Money and other valuables should be stored in student lockers and not in gymnasium change rooms during Physical Education classes. The school cannot assume responsibility for lost or stolen items.
Smoking
With the passage of the Provincial legislation, “The Tobacco Control Act”, smoking or even holding a lit tobacco product is not allowed in any school building or on the school grounds.
Telephones
There are two pay telephones in the hallway on the south side of the office.The office cannot accept personal messages for students.
Phones should only be used during lunch period or before/after school.
Safety Clothing
All students are to wear the safety clothing specified for a given class, such as protective eyewear or closed-toe shoes, when required.
Parking
A student parking area is located in the north-east section of the parking lot. A parking permit must be obtained by any student wishing to bring a car to school. Students will need a valid driver's license and proof of insurance to apply for a parking permit. Parking without a permit could result in the car being towed away. The speed limit in the parking lot is 10 KPH.
