Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How will the library Operate?

All physical and electronic materials in our library are listed above. Until such time as a safe physical space can be appointed for the library, parents and caregivers within the Bruce school community can borrow physical materials through a local delivery and pick-up system. If you are interested in borrowing physical resources, please email bruce.advisory.council@gmail.com to arrange delivery.

How long can I keep physical assets?

The Toronto Public Library lending period is three weeks. If it's good enough for TPL, it's good enough for us! If you need more time, please let us know and we'll do our best to accommodate the request provided no one else is waiting for the same material.

How will this project increase engagement?

We created the Anti-Oppression Resource Centre to provide additional opportunities for discourse and discussions around specific topics pertaining to Human Rights, Equity, and Anti-Indigenous and Anti-Black Racism. The more conversations we have, the more comfortable people will be adding voices and perspectives to our school advisory council and other Bruce initiatives.

Can I help with the project?

Yes! SAC is always, ALWAYS looking for volunteers. If you have a suggestion for the Anti-Oppression Resource Centre (physical, digital, or otherwise), or have another idea, please let us know at bruce.advisory.council@gmail.com.

Are there any events planned?

Preparations are underway to host a speaker event in the spring of 2022. More details will follow shortly
