Reading Recovery Program at Bruce
Reading Recovery is a literacy program for Grade One students having difficulty learning to read and write. Reading Recovery helps these children develop effective strategies for reading and writing. It is taught by a specially trained teacher (Dianne Scott) who receives ongoing training throughout the year. It consists of a daily, thirty minute lesson that is tailored to build on the child’s unique strengths and support the areas of need. The goal of Reading Recovery is to teach Grade One students to be successful readers and writers.
