Equinox hosts only one in-person Open House each school year. All are welcome to attend, including children. No registration is required to participate. The event starts with a formal presentation in the gym by staff, followed by school tours.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate individual personal tours due to staff time constraints and to maintain the integrity of the program and privacy of our students. If you would like to learn more about Equinox in the meantime, please watch the video below.

How to Apply

The TDSB has a wide range of elementary alternative schools available to students. The annually application process is managed centrally by TDSB and includes an online application form. Information about the online application process is available on the Alternative Schools website.

About

Equinox is a Toronto District School Board (TDSB) elementary alternative school. As a publicly funded school, it is open to anyone residing in Toronto and free to attend. As an “out-of-area” status school (formally known as “optional attendance”), student transportation to/from the school is not funded by the Ontario Ministry of Education, and thereby not covered by the school board.
