                                  2023 – 2024 WELCOME BACK TO FLEMING PS!

On behalf of the staff at Fleming PS, I would like to extend a warm and friendly welcome to our students and families.We trust that you had a wonderful summer break with your children and that you were able to enjoy many shared activities.We look forward to welcoming students and families back on Tuesday, September 5^th.

It is a privilege and honour to be back as the principal of Fleming PS as I begin my 25^th year as an educator. I am excited about the opportunity to continue to contribute and collaborate with such a strong school community. It is exciting to be a part of a school community that believes in all students receiving a “well rounded” education.

There are a few ways to stay connected with the school. I will be sending a weekly update, What’s On at Fleming, to the school community using the TDSB’s automated email messaging system. Please ensure the school has your up-to-date email address. Our website, https://schoolweb.tdsb.on.ca/fleming/ , and Twitter account, @schoolfleming , are two other ways to stay informed. Make sure to follow us for updates! In preparation for the first day of school on Tuesday, September 5^th. I encourage you to spend a few minutes to review the following:

• 2023 – 2024 WELCOME BACK SLIDESHOW – Contains information about the first day routine, staying for lunch, traffic safety, and plenty of other valuable school information.
• DRESS CODE SLIDESHOW – Fleming PS has a dress code that will be reviewed with students.
• SLIDESHOW was shared in June.

On Friday, September 1 you will receive an email which states the name of you child’s teacher and the entrance/exit where they will meet their teacher on the first day.

We encourage parents/guardians to be involved in their children’s education by supporting our School Council.Education is a partnership between parents, students, teachers, and school administration. Your participation in the council will give you the opportunity to strengthen that partnership, and to be part of a diverse team working to support your child’s education. Your involvement can make a difference! Stay tuned for our first meeting date and time.
