George R Gauld Junior School

Welcome To Our School

George R. Gauld Junior School is located in the community of Mimico and opened in 1923. This JK to Grade 5 school has served many generations of the community. Being a smaller school has its advantages as our nurturing staff provide an excellent academic programme combined with a family-like atmosphere. A very co-operative relationship with the Early Adventures Daycare who share space in the school, provides a seamless day for the students involved. Our school colours are blue and orange and our mascot is the "Griffin."
Named after George Robert Gauld, a Superintendent of Education, the school has had two additions in its long history, one in 1932 and another in 1959. Part of the charm of the school is the high ceilings, wooden floors and large playground for the students and community.

As part of the Toronto District School Board, we value
