Glenview Mission Statement:
“A place to learn, a time to grow, education to last a lifetime!”
Glenview is a vibrant large senior school with over 650 students in Grades 7 and 8. We welcome students into our regular English program, French Immersion and Extended French. Students are involved in a wide-variety of activities such as sports, music, drama, arts-based programs and technology. We offer leadership opportunities to our students and school-wide co-curriculars.
Glenview Senior Public School was opened in 1966 to give our grades 7 and 8 students a period of transition and adjustment between the neighbourhood elementary school and the large secondary school. A formal Mission Statement was adopted to serve as a guideline for positive change and to provide a framework to define relationships with students, staff, parents and the community.
We offer programs that aim to foster academic development, a love of learning, critical and creative thinking and the ability to adapt to change.
We are dedicated to providing an environment in which our students build self-esteem and confidence, value differences and learn to work together in mutual respect and trust.
We recognize that these objectives are best promoted when students, staff, parents, administrators, the Toronto District School Board and the wider community work in partnership. We trust that Your child’s Glenview experience will be a positive one. We are looking forward to getting to know all of you and to working with your children.
