Welcome to Greenland Public School, a place where the students, staff and parents/guardians are committed to working together to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment for all.
The staff at Greenland are a dedicated group of professionals who work hard to make Greenland a warm and innovative place to learn. With a focus on balanced literacy and strong mathematics programming, we are committed to implementing classroom strategies that address individual needs and help students to become confident learners, critical thinkers and responsible citizens.
We believe that our parent community is an important part of the success of our students and school. We encourage parents and guardians to be active partners in the school. We also hope that you will take advantage of the many opportunities for parents to become involved by attending school events, helping out on school trips or during classroom visits by Scientists in School or by becoming an active member of the School Council.
The School Council meets once a month and all parents/guardians are encouraged to attend the meetings. It is a great way to meet other parents and learn more about your child’s school. The School Council organizes numerous activities and special events. These events enrich our students’ school experience, as well as raise funds for field trips and school equipment. Please note due to COVID-19 many of these in-school initiatives are on hold as we are following Public Health guidelines.
Communication between home and school is of vital importance to us. We are always just a phone call away. Working together we can ensure all our Greenland students have a memorable and rewarding learning experience.
