At Jesse Ketchum, we believe that all students deserve equitable access to a wide range of opportunities that support their academic, social, and emotional growth. These opportunities include engaging classroom learning, enriching extracurricular activities, and meaningful field trips that help broaden their experiences.
We value strong collaboration between staff and families and believe it is essential to student success. Our School Plan is built on this shared commitment.
Jesse Ketchum offers a variety of programs with a focus on inquiry-based learning. We place equal importance on STEM and the arts. In the senior school, students benefit from a dedicated science lab and a design and technology space that encourage hands-on, learning.
Our athletics program is vibrant, with teams in soccer, touch football, basketball, volleyball, softball, cross country, track and field, and more. Specialist physical education teachers support both the primary and senior divisions.
The school also hosts the TDSB Extended Day Program (EDP), which offers before and after school care for school-aged children. Run by qualified early childhood educators, the program provides a safe and supportive environment. Younger students engage in play-based learning, while older students take part in structured activities, receive homework support, and build positive peer relationships.
