Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome to Lescon!!

I am thrilled to be joining this wonderful, warm, and caring school environment. Although, there are many uncertainties before us, and we all have endured a stressful couple of years; we can be sure that together we will make this year the best possible one for your children. You can be certain that each day you bring your children to school, they are in the hands of caring, empathetic, and committed professionals.  It is a privilege to be working in this school community.

I look forward to getting to know more parents in this community as I truly hope you will venture out to participate in School council events and meetings.  I also host regular “Zoom” coffee chats to give other opportunities for community members, parents, and guardians to pop in and have informal conversations about school life.  Our partnership with parents and the community is a priority.  Afterall, “it takes a whole community to raise a child.”

We also rely on parents to help us keep our school safe and healthy.

Please ensure you properly screen your child each day before sending him to school.  If she is not feeling well, please stay home.

Please walk to pick up your child or park a distance from the school and walk to the school.  We need the front of the school to be clear for buses and it becomes dangerous for children walking home when there is too much traffic and cars blocking the street.  Help us to help your children stay safe.  Please walk, whenever possible.

Our school day begins at 8:45. Please ensure your child arrives before that time so that he/she is ready to begin learning at 8:45.  You may drop your child off any time after 8:30 am.  Students will proceed to their classes and be supervised inside until the 8:45 bell.

I look forward to an exciting year of learning and growing together.

Together we are stronger and together we can create a dynamic, engaging, and nurturing environment that will enable all our children to blossom.

Yours in education,

Shauna Small
